Melissa

Melissa worked in our community as a staff member and Early Childhood Educator at the Tri-City Family Place. She was always cheerful and such a great support to the families and children who visited the drop-in playgroup. When she left to open her own home-based daycare  we were sad, but also happy she was pursuing her dream.
Melissa has just been diagnosed with ALS with Frontotemporal Dementia. She has been very ill with steady decline for the past many months, and the progression of this deadly combination is rapidly bringing the end of her life sooner.
She is the proud mother of three kids, the youngest, Maddox just turned one, Jordana is three, and her eldest, Alexander is five. Melissa's illness has wreaked havoc on the family both emotionally, and financially. Her home based daycare has needed to close down and now Jeremy, Melissa's husband, is the sole bread winner for the young family.
This tragedy has rocked those of us who know and love the White family to the core, and left us looking for things to do to lend support to the White Family.
A bank account has been opened in trust for the White family, fundraising has started.
Melissa is just 29 years old; please put her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
The family is having a tremendously difficult time dealing with the situation right now - please help.
